Which Cake Decorating Class is right for you?
00Have you have been inspired by recent programmes like the Great British Bake Off and want to try your hand at cake decorating or do you want to expand your existing skills and techniques? Then why not come along to one of our Cake Decorating Classes and Courses. We have put together a quick guide to the classes on offer to help you choose the right class for you. Introduction to Cake Decorating and Sugarcraft – suitable for beginners, this teaches you how to fill and crumb coat a round sponge cake (which is supplied), cover it in sugar paste and make a wired spray display for the top. You then get to take your yummy cake home to eat! How to Decorate a Parcel Cake – this time we use a dummy cake to learn how to cover a square cake perfectly with sugar paste, how to make a “satin bow” from gum paste and learn how to pipe straight lines and dots with royal icing. Of course you get to keep your dummy cake also. Cupcake Decorating – you are provided with six fresh cupcakes, sugar paste, gum paste, use of all tools and a box to take your cupcakes home in. You will be taught various different designs and the techniques to achieve them, and then let loose on the cupcakes to try out these techniques or experiment with your own ideas. Modelling – learn the basics of handling modelling paste and how to shape and mould it to create a cute model for the top of a cake. If you have any questions, need further information or have a suggestion of a class you would like to do get in touch. We would love to hear from you....
